Fernandinos donate blood to save lives

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Fernandinos on Friday volunteered to donate blood to save lives of others in emergency situations.

The City Health Office and the Jose B. Lingad Regional Memorial Hospital partnered for the bloodletting at the city hall atrium, as part of the celebration of 17th Cityhood Charter Anniversary or Kaganapan 2018.

Dubbed “Dugo Mo, Karugtong ng Buhay Ko” the annual activity aims to collect more in blood bags to use in case of emergencies. This was participated by the members of the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection and some government employees.

Mayor Edwin Santiago stressed that blood donation is the most substantial contribution that every Fernandino can contribute towards to save others’ lives.

The city mayor furthered that one of the city’s top priority programs is to ensure the health of the Fernandinos.
