A 31-year-old man was shot dead by two unidentified assailants inside the sports complex of Barangay Luz, Cebu City last Saturday evening.

Adonis Altar, a resident of the area, succumbed to a gunshot wound in his left jaw.

According to homicide investigators of the Cebu City Police Office, the two assailants covered their faces. One of them had a ball cap on while the other was wearing a helmet.

The victim was walking in the area when the gunman approached and suddenly shot him.

The gunman then walked towards a motorcycle driven by another suspect and fled.

Police recovered two empty shells of a caliber .45 pistol in the crime scene.

The Homicide Section of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) is looking into personal grudge as the motive behind the crime.

Operatives are pursuing the two assailants.

Meanwhile, two men survived after they were shot by motorcycle-riding men in Barangay Duljo Fatima yesterday dawn.

Anthony Vasaylleje, 33, and Ritchie Canoy, 25, sustained gunshot wounds.

They were rushed to the hospital for treatment. (JOB)
