‘Carworld cares’ benefits hundreds of students in Arayat

IN LINE with the company’s commitment to actively enhance the lives and promote the welfare of Kapampangans from the countryside, Carworld, a subsidiary of the Laus Group of Companies (LGC), recently conducted a gift giving program in Arayat, Pampanga.

According to Mitsubishi Carworld President Paul Laus, the initiative is one of the highlights of the auto conglomerate’s 40th anniversary celebration.

Over 200 less-privileged children from Palinlang Elementary School in the municipality benefited from the said corporate social responsibility program dubbed “Carworld Cares”.

“Together with our partner NGO, we have provided hundreds of school supplies to poor students in Arayat. Out of the 30 barangays of the municipality, we determined that Barangay Palinlang is the poorest. And it reflects in its public school,” he said.

“Upon our visit, we were informed that students from the school only rely on donations. Unfortunately, according to their principal, donations rarely come kasi malayo,” he added.

Laus shared that the whole organization, from the executives to staff, joined forces to extend support during the whole-day activity.

“We have always been steadfast in alleviating the plight of poor children, who at their tender age, are already faced with various challenges. We are proud to extend help by providing our share, which is also one way of giving back to the community who helps us grow through the years,” he relayed.

He noted that the gift giving program is one of the many noble causes the LGC continues to spearhead, aside from the regular programs of the LP Laus Scholarship Foundation.

Carworld, the “Home of Mitsubishi” is the flagship company of the LGC founded in 1978 in City of San Fernando. To date, it has expanded to four other locations in the region namely Marilao, Malolos, Tarlac, and Subic.
