PRO 7 to receive 20 Mitsubishi Monteros donated by Japanese gov’t

PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte will turn over to the Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 20 Mitsubishi Monteros from Japan when he visits Cebu on Feb. 12.

Presidential Assistant Michael Lloyd Dino said the 20 vehicles were donated by the Japanese Government when the President visited the country last year. Dino said the vehicles will help police in the region carry out their duties.

“Definitely, it can improve police services, especially in Cebu City, where Mayor Tomas Osmeña got back the vehicles assigned to the police,” he said.

Dino said he was informed by Land Transportation Office (LTO) 7 Director Victor Emmanuel Caindec that the vehicles are not yet registered but Camp Crame is taking care of it. (EOB)
