CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The City Government here encouraged the youth sector to participate in its youth social actions and programs since they are considered the “backbone of society.”
During the recent Kaganapan Youth Parade, Mayor Edwin Santiago said it is important that people should listen and recognize the voices of the youth today toward the achievement of development in the city.
As part of the ongoing 17th Cityhood Charter Anniversary celebration here, students from the City College of San Fernando, Alay Lakad scholars and Fernandino Pag-asa Youth Association marched through the streets in an aim to empower the youth sector in the City of San Fernando.
The activity was followed by a short program at the Old Train Station where the students showcased their skills and talents in spoken poetry, dancing and singing.
The students were joined in the youth parade by Vice Mayor Jimmy Lazatin, City College coordinator Rachelle Yusi and Kaganapan 2018 Chairperson Jun Pineda.
