Lamtang dump fully rehabilitated

M.A. Camilo Freight and Trucks Services declared a complete rehabilitation of the Lamtang transfer area in Sitio Puguis, La Trinidad, Benguet.

During the compliance hearing Tuesday at the Regional Trial Court Branch 10 with acting presiding judged Emmanuel Cacho Rasing lawyer Benny Bomogao said the rehabilitation of the transfer facility has been instituted.

“The gravelling, complete removal of all the residual waste, backfilling of materials, compacting, and cleaning of canal have been made.”

During the hearing, no objection was raised from the solicitor general Lawyer Sharon Millan-Deceno.

M.A. Camilo Freight and Trucks Services representative Engineer Ruben Thurs, said they have fully complied with the rehabilitation of the Lamtang transfer facility.

"We have fully complied with the rehabilitation of the Lamtang waste transfer facility and there would be a last validation to be made by the Environmental Management Bureau."

Thurs, part of the technical staff freight and trucking services reported they have fully hauled out garbage from the transfer station, cleaned the garbage remains and applied lime on the ground with backfilling, leveling and compacting of earth material and clearing of the perimeter canals.

The hearing was adjourned with the court order of both parties unanimously manifested all rehabilitation measures.

Moreover, the court has given the EMB-CAR to for the verification report affecting the rehabilitation of the EMB-Cordillera to be submitted on and or before February 15.

Thurs said after the rehabilitation complaints residents have reduced while rehabilitated area could be used as a parking area.
