THE World Food Expo (Wofex) kicks off today at the SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City, and will run until February 10.
Councilor Cindy Rojas said this is the second time that Wofex is hosted by the city after the first in 2016.
Wofex is the largest and best export-oriented food show in the Philippines.
Rojas said this year’s expo will have more than 50 exhibitors from various regions.
It will also feature the Wofex University which will conduct a series of trainings in baking, restaurants, and catering.
About 10 chefs and facilitators will also join the activity.
“Wofex aims to bring in suppliers direct to Bacolod food industry because Bacolod is known for good food and its advocacy on organic food,” Rojas said.
Wofex is part of Bacolod City @ 80 celebration.
It is open to the public and entrance is free.
