The new sing-and-dance boy group Clique5 visited Cebu last week to promote the carrier single “Pwede Ba, Teka Muna” from its self-titled album. In an interview, the seven members impressed Cebu’s entertainment writers and bloggers with an a cappella performance of the song.

The members are Karl, Marco, Sean, Josh, Clay, Tim and Rocky. They underwent singing, dancing and acting workshops to prepare themselves for projects like the Feb. 27 concert at the Music Museum.

Before the TV series “Wildflower” ends today, the three leads (Maja Salvador, Vin Abrenica and Joseph Marco) treated the Cebu audience with a song-and-dance show called “Maja On Stage Live in Cebu” at the IEC3 last Sunday.

Maja showed that she is not only an intense actress but also a good singer and dancer.

Maja revealed that she is a devotee of the Sto. Niño. Her mom, also a devotee, inspired her to be one. Maja has queued up at the Basilica Minore at dawn to get close to the image of the Holy Child for several years now.

Both Vin and Joseph are grateful to “Wildflower” for the boost that the series has done to their careers. Vin will have a supporting role in the movie of Bea Alonzo, Paulo Avelino and Derek Ramsay for Star Cinema. Joseph is slated to have a role in an international movie to be shot in Taiwan.
