Gunmen rob lending firm

A LENDING firm lost P160,000 in a robbery in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, the police said Friday.

Chief Inspector Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, said the incident occurred around 4:50 p.m. Thursday, February 8, at the Office of Duane John Lending Corporation in the village of San Jose, Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Galvez said two unidentified gunmen entered and pretended to pay their loan but pulled guns and declared the heist.

Galvez said investigation showed the suspects have ordered Sonia Rafols, 39 and Marjore Maglipac, 30, the cashier and secretary, respectively, to lie flat on the floor and took P160,000 cash and a mobile phone unit.
