CCTV footages reviewed for spray paint vandals

AUTHORITIES are now checking closed circuit television (CCTV) footages to catch the persons responsible for spraying paint on parked vehicles at Country Homes Cabantian last Saturday, February 10.

Police Chief Inspector Jack Til-cag of Buhangin Police Station in a phone interview with Sun.Star Davao yesterday said they have already asked for a copy of the CCTV footage of the incident which took place around 2:30 in morning of Saturday.

“We will check if we can see from the footage the plate number of the motorized vehicle, since culprits were wearing helmets,” he said.

He said that the owner of the Isuzu MU-X, also a resident of Country Homes Subdivision, reported the incident at Buhangin Police Station last Saturday afternoon around 2 pm.

Tilcag said that based on the report, the suspects drove by on a motorcycle, sprayed paint on parked vehicles as they drove by, and then left.

He said that the CCTV camera was installed by the owner of the Isuzu MU-X himself since he knew the house owner near the area where his vehicle was parked.

Tilcag said this is the first time that they have received reports of motorcycle-riding vandals. (KVC)
