Some netizens (including me) found time to post some “hugot” lines related to the tropical disturbance. Some expressed willingness to let Basyang stay for a day just to have a date on the day of hearts. I wrote about a child star in one of the entries of the Sinulog Short Film Festival because he was so natural and convincing in the portrayal of his character. I was short of saying he’s a shoo-in for the best child actor award but refrained from doing so so as not to influence the judges.
My observation did not escape the meticulous eyes of the judges though as Ethan Jose Pelayo Dacua was declared best child actor in the awards rites held a few days ago.
Ethan is the eldest child of good friends Jason Jose Dacua (former keyboardist of Stagecrew and current staff member of the Provincial Health Office) and Cherryl Pelayo-Dacua (former Miss Cebu runner-up and former GMA 7-Cebu program host and now a Pagcor Cebu executive).
