‘The Clash’ in Cebu today

ASIA’S Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid is back in Cebu, this time to lead the nationwide auditions for GMA Network’s newest singing competition “The Clash.”

Airing soon on GMA 7, “The Clash” is set to feature hopefuls who will compete against each other to be the country’s next solo singing superstar.

The Cebu leg of the auditions will be held today, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Gaisano Island Mall Mactan.

The competition is open to all male and female Filipinos, amateur or professional singers, who are at least 16 years old. Interested applicants need to bring the original and photocopy of their birth certificate and two recent photos (one 2x2 photo and a full-body shot photo). They also need to prepare at least two songs (English and Filipino) for the audition with minus-one audio, or they can perform with musical instruments.

Joining Regine during the screening process are directors Bert de Leon and Louie Ignacio. (PR)
