Davraa security all set

LOCAL security forces in Davao City is all set for the opening of the Davao Region Athletic Association (Davraa) Meet 2018 today at University of Mindanao (UM) Matina track oval.

Davao City Police Office (DCPO) director Police Senior Superintendent Alexander Tagum said that they began the deployment of their personnel for the opening and the succeeding days until the closing ceremony of the athletic meet on February 23.

The security plan is laid out. Tagum said that they divided the security forces into Security Clusters for all competition venues and billeting centers in the areas located in Talomo, San Pedro and Sta. Ana police stations.

Earlier, DCPO spokesperson Police Senior Inspector Ma. Teresita Gaspan said that some 8,000 law enforcers will be deployed to ensure the safety and security of delegates from different provinces and cities. It includes the police, troops, force multipliers and other law enforcement agencies.

Some 7,000 delegates from 11 school divisions in the region are expected to compete for honors in the meet that serves as qualifying for the Palarong Pambansa.
