UST expels 8 students over Horacio Castillo's death

THE University of Santo Tomas (UST) has expelled eight students involved in the deadly hazing of UST freshman law student Horacio Castillo III.

According to a report from the official student publication of UST, "The Varsitarian," the committee tasked to probe the death of Castillo has found the eight students guilty of violating the Code of Conduct and Discipline.

The names of the students were not included in the report.

Castillo died on September 17 from hazing injuries inflicted by members of the Aejis Juris Fraternitas.

The Department of Justice has yet to release its resolution in relation to the complaints for murder, robbery and violation the anti-hazing law filed against members the more than 15 members of the said fraternity. (SunStar Philippines)
