Pawnshop exec loses P3 million to robbers

AN ASSISTANT manager of a pawnshop lost P3 million to robbers in Pagadian City on Saturday afternoon, February 17.

Chief Inspector Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, said the robbery-hold-up victim was identified as Graham Nash Villagonzalo Tati, assistant manager of Palawan Express.

The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the corner of Cabrera and Pajares Streets in the village of San Francisco.

Investigation showed that Tati has just withdrawn P3 million from a bank and returning to the Palawan Express office when a motorcycle-riding gunman blocked his path while two others with crash helmets and masks served as lookouts.

The gunmen forcibly took a backpack containing the money from Tati and sped off.

Galvez said investigations continue to determine the identities of the robbers. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
