MOVIE. I have it from Heritage Productions big bosses Charles and Sunshine Lim that their latest film “Magbuwag Ta Kay...” will definitely be screened in cinemas across the country next month. This Visayan romantic-comedy features Rowel Ucat a.k.a. Medyo Maldito and Akiko Solon in the lead roles, plus the special participation of Snake Princess.
HAPPY. I’m so happy with this development. But let’s pray that people in non-Visayan speaking provinces and cities would still watch “Magbuwag Ta Kay...” that has English subtitles. This well-crafted film is a must-watch production.
WINNERS. I should congratulate the top three winning contingents that took part in this year’s Sinulog dance festival as highlight of the Sto. Niño Parish fiesta in Lower Mohon, Talisay City staged last week. The two other contingents also did their best in the ritual competition but their efforts weren’t good enough. Aside from me, former parish priest Fr. Vic Amplayo, OSA, and Soundtraxx Production Studio’s Angel Sua Abella sat as judges. We were unanimous in our verdict.
COMMEND. I should also commend the current parish priest Fr. Jonas Mejares, OSA, and his assisting priests for a job well done. All activities during the nine-night novena, as well as the fiesta day events, truly delighted the parishioners and visitors. The parish pastoral council also actively worked hand in hand with the priests. They showed what teamwork and cooperation can do.
