PFL increases match commissioners' pool

WITH the Philippines Football League (PFL) set to kick off early next month, the league has successfully concluded its PFL Match Commissioner's Workshop last week at the Century Park Hotel in Manila.

Over 10 participants attended the workshop with the aim of increasing the pool of PFL Match Commissioners.

"The candidates were very interactive, they were eager to learn the steps on how to become a PFL match commissioner," said AFC Match Commissioner Colonel Goutam Kar, who conducted the course. "It's the beginning of their career. I'm sure they will be an asset to PFL."

Philippine Football Federation General Secretary Edwin Gastanes and PFL CEO Lazarus Xavier were present during the awarding of certificates to the participants.

"We would like to thank Colonel Goutam Kar for imparting his ideas in this workshop to our aspiring match commissioners. We hope that our participants will be able to embark on their career as match commissioners from the PFL up to the AFC competitions," Gastanes said. (HGD)
