FIVE persons were arrested in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Negros Occidental from February 18 to 20.
In Bacolod City, drug surrenderer John Mark Banguiran, 21, of Barangay Singcang-Airport, was collared in a drug bust in the said village around 1:40 a.m. of February 20.
Police confiscated from him five sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) worth P10,000, several drug paraphernalia, and the P500 marked money.
Still in Bacolod, Mary Joy Caseres, 43, of Purok San Pedro, Barangay Sum-ag, was arrested in the village on Monday around 11:30 p.m.
Police recovered from Caseres three sachets of suspected shabu, and the P200 marked money.
Angelo Montaño was arrested in Purok Saturn, Barangay Handumanan, Bacolod City, around 11:55 p.m. of February 18 after police seized from him four sachets of suspected shabu weighing one gram amounting to P10,000, and the P200 marked money.
Also arrested on the same day was Dione Cabahug Jr., 34, of Sitio Pasil, Barangay Latasan, E.B. Magalona town, around 6 p.m.
Personnel of E.B. Magalona Municipal Police Station received a call for assistance from a concerned citizen after Cabahug was creating trouble in the neighborhood.
Cabahug yielded a sachet of suspected shabu and a lighter.
In Calatrava town, Alex Martin Belonio, 24, of Barangay Poblacion Uno, Sagay City, was collared in a police checkpoint in Barangay Bantayanon around 8 p.m. of February 18.
Police recovered from Belonio two sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, cellular phone, and a motorcycle. (GYM)
