Davao police to get new vehicles

THE Police Regional Office (PRO)-Davao are set to receive new vehicles on Monday, February 26, during its ceremonial blessing and turnover at Camp Quintin M. Merecido Buhangin, Davao City.

PRO-Davao is set to receive 23 brand new units of Toyota Hi-Lux, 44 units motorcycle, and two units of Man Truck.

PRO spokesperson Police Chief Inspector Andrea dela Cerna said these new vehicles will further capacitate the police personnel to counter criminalities, quicker response-time on security complaint, and be more competent in their peacekeeping duties to maintain the peace and order in the region against criminals and other lawless elements.

She said the new vehicles were procured by the Philippine National Police (PNP) National headquarters in Camp Crame. These will arrive today at the PRO 11 headquarters.

The activity will also be attended by PNP chief Ronald M. Dela Rosa, who will serve as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.

The recipients of these are the different police units under PRO.

Last month, Davao City Police Office (DCPO) acquired 26 Montero Mitsubishi police patrol cars. President Rodrigo Duterte led the turnover ceremony along with Dela Rosa at the Regional Crime Lab Office 11 in Davao City.
