Cordova shooting left 1 man dead; work angle eyed

A SUPERVISOR of a company that provides desludging services for the Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD) was killed while on his way to the septage treatment plant in Barangay Pilipog, Cordova. Romano Tecson, 48, was shot in the head and in the body by an unidentified gunman at 8:30 p.m. last Friday.

Tecson, a native of Bulacan, was the desludging supervisor of Envirokonsult Equipment and Services Inc. Last May 2015, MCWD signed a contract with Envirokonsult, a Manila-based company, for its septage management program. In the initial investigation of the Cordova Police Station (CPS), Tecson joined a drinking spree across the septage treatment plant then crossed the street to use a comfort room. While he was walking toward the gate, the gunman appeared and shot him, and then casually walked away.

Witnesses said that the gunman wore a jacket and a cap. Tecson was brought to the Mactan Doctors’ Hospital, but he was declared dead. (FMG)
