MOVIE. Very soon, filming of a Visayan movie based on a true event that occured here in Cebu in 1995 will commence with Isabelle Peach directing it. She will be guided by her dad, the incomparable and veteran movie director Carlo J. Caparas, in completing the project from start to finish.
LOCATIONS. What should make us Cebuanos happy is the fact that the daughter-father tandem has decided to shoot the entire film in different locations here. This is not to mention their intention to also tap a lot of Cebu-based talents, crew and filming equipment for this flick.
LAUD. I laud Direk Carlo and Peach for producing the upcoming movie about a highly sensational double murder here in Cebu. For sure, it will be a crowd drawer at the tills but the details of this soon-to-be filmed project will be revealed in my succeeding columns.
WISH. It is also my wish that this upcoming film would lead the way to the eventual resurrection of the Visayan movie industry. Please help me pray for its realization.
HIT. With Peach and Direk Carlo co-directing it, we can expect that the film will be a sure-fire hit once it’s shown in cinemas nationwide. By the way, this afternoon, there will be a casting call for those that are interested to appear in the upcoming movie. Text me for the exact venue and time.
