Tourist guide nabbed in Badian drug bust

A TOURIST and canyoneering guide was caught in a drug bust on Monday afternoon, February 26, in Barangay Matutinao, Badian town, Cebu.

Senior Inspector Bonifacio Pareja, the town police chief, identified the suspect as Willard Ledesma Capacio, 36.

The suspect is a newly identified drug personality in the town.

The police conducted surveillance and test buys after they received a report about the suspect's illegal activity.

Pareja's team then pushed through with the drug bust, after they confirmed Capacio's involvement in illegal drug trade.

Capacio yielded four small packs of methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as “shabu.”

Complaints for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against the suspect.

Selling shabu is a non-bailable offense. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
