UC grad places 4th in mechanical engineers' board exams

A GRADUATE from the University of Cebu (UC) joined 11 others in the topnotchers' list of the board exam for mechanical engineers.

With a rating of 87.55 percent, Wenilito Pador Fabroa of UC placed fourth in the February 2018 exams. Just 1.2 percentage points separated him from first-placer Kelvin Mendoza Macatangay of Batangas State University-Alangilan (88.75).

Seven of the 12 examinees with the top 10 scores were graduates from Batangas State University-Alangilan.

About 47 of all the examinees passed, or 933 out of 1,983 who took the exams last month in Baguio, Cebu, and Manila, the Professional Regulation Commission announced on Friday.

The others on the topnotchers list were Kyle Darryl Tan Aguilar, De La Salle University of Manila (No. 2, 88.35 percent); Efren Espino Suarez Jr. of Batangas State University (No. 3, 87.90 percent); Emanuelito Abion Aristorenas, Batangas State (No. 5, 87.10 percent); Kim Patrick Gonzales, Garcia College of Technology (No. 5, 87.10 percent); Hazel Joy Diola Veyra, Batangas State (No. 7, 86.75 percent); Dyve Balbalosa de Ocampo, Batangas State (No. 7, 86.55 percent); Adrian Danao Bautista, Batangas State (No. 8, 86.40); Jerric Rojas Delfin, Central Mindanao University (No. 9, 86.35 percent): and Anna Rizza Regalado Ebreo of Batangas State and Don Fritz Garzon Silos of Southern Leyte State University-Sogod (both No. 10, 86.05 percent).
