Traffic enforcer nabbed in Liloan drug bust

A 43-YEAR-OLD traffic enforcer was caught at 9 a.m. Monday, March 5, in a drug bust in Barangay San Vicente, Liloan, Cebu.

The suspect, Bryan Amerel Ampaso, a former Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center inmate, yielded 18 grams of white crystals believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) to the joint operatives of Consolacion Police Station, Liloan Police Station and Provincial Intelligence Branch.

The contraband has a Dangerous Drugs Board value of P212,400.

Consolacion Police Chief Gerard Ace Pelare said Ampaso is a job order employee of Consolacion Municipal Government and he is assigned in the Consolacion Traffic Enforcement and Special Service (CTESS).

Pelare said Ampaso had been identified as a high level value target and was convicted of drug charges.

Complaints for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspect. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
