Review Pad: Vice Cosmetics

ANOTHER Kapamilya beauty line that I have been wanting to try is Vice Cosmetics by of course the “unkabogable star” Vice Ganda.

Also launched last year, I have heard some online influencers rave about this product so I’ve got to try it myself as well and here are my thoughts on it.

About the brand

Inclusive beauty no matter what gender, shape class or color – that’s what the brand is all about.

In an interview, Vice Ganda shared that his inspiration is to create a brand that would reflect him rather than endorsing a product, especially lipstick. He describes his brand to be “flamboyant, different, eksaherada, and OA” which is how we know him on and off screen.

The Kapamilya star teamed up with LA-based Filipino Entrepreneur Macky Samaco in coming up and the production of Vice Cosmetics.

’Ganda for all’

Vice Cosmetics branding is very simple and that is to make quality lip products affordable for all – “Ganda for all.”

The make-up line has launched three products which are their Good Vibes Matte Lipstick –P195, Phenomenal Liquid Lipstick – P195, and the Phenomenal Matte Lip Kit – P295. All of the product names and shades really well represent its maker Vice Ganda.

I got their Phenomenal Lip Kit in Unicorn as a birthday present last year in the shade Unicorn and got two more of their liquid lipsticks in the shade Ravaaan and Achuchuchu. Other than their website, Vice Cosmetics is also being sold in Watsons.

Pros and Cons

I am more of a liquid lippie person when it comes to matte lipstick so that’s our main focus of review.

Pros: Other than its very affordable price, I love the fact that there is a lot of shades available ranging from simple to bold which makes it perfect for daily use and for days when you want to be extra. Other than the good color pay off, the lippie formula for both the lip liner and the liquid lipstick is not that thick and it glides smoothly which makes it easy to apply. It also dries quickly and is smudge proof.

Another pro for me is its liquid lippie applicator that allows one to really easily apply the product even on the sides of the lip which can let you get away without using a lip liner.

It is also worth noting that the brand is cruelty free!

Cons: The only con for this product is that it’s really drying on the lips so you really need to use a lip balm before applying it.

The Verdict

This product really lives up to its slogan of “Ganda for all,” the shades are really beautiful and I am loving Ravaan so far. Can’t wait to check out more of their unique shades!
