EIGHT persons were arrested for sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs in separate operations in Negros Occidental for three days.
In Bacolod City, Sandy Martinez, 42, of Barangay 27; and Nico Cadusales, 32, and Ronald Jereza, 25, both residents of Barangay Taloc, Bago City were caught holding a "pot session" in Barangay 27 around 5 p.m. on March 5.
Police recovered two sachets of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride), an improvised tooter, and three lighters.
In San Carlos City, pedicab driver Michael Lausa, 19, of Barangay 5, and Joebert Estimada, 24, of Barangay Rizal were collared after they allegedly robbed a house of a public school teacher in Barangay Rizal on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
Both allegedly carted away electronics amounting to P70,000.
Lausa yielded two sachets of suspected shabu while police seized from Estimada four sachets of suspected shabu.
The recovered illegal drugs have an estimated value of P45,000.
In Isabela town, vendor Jaime Baylon, 26, of Barangay 9, was arrested in a drug bust in the said village at 9:40 p.m. on March 3.
Baylon, a drug surrenderer, yielded three sachets of shabu, lighter, and the P500 marked money.
In Cadiz City, couple Enrique and Anna Asis, both residents of Barangay Zone 5, were collared in a drug bust in the same village at 10:47 p.m. last Saturday.
Enrique was subjected to Oplan Tokhang but did not surrender.
Police confiscated from both suspects five sachets of suspected shabu amounting to P5,000, drug paraphernalia, and the P500 marked money. (GYM)
