4 men in Lapu fall in drug busts

FOUR persons, including a drug surrenderer, were arrested in separate operations in Lapu-Lapu City last Tuesday.

The Lapu-Lapu Drug Enforcement Unit arrested Thaddeus Beldad, 32, and Jerome Aying, 31, in Sitio Kasambagan 1, Barangay Pajac at 7:50 p.m.

According to Chief Insp. Mark Gifter Sucalit of the City Intelligence Branch, Aying was listed as a drug surrenderer.

Sucalit said 14 sachets of shabu worth P6,608 were seized from the suspects.

At 11:30 p.m., 25-year-old Jayson Ochea, a street level drug pusher, was arrested by the members of the Lapu-Lapu Police Station 4 in Sitio Marbeach, Barangay Marigondon.

Eleven sachets of shabu worth P4,500 were seized from him.

Police Station 2, on the other hand, arrested Isagani Batusin, a habal-habal driver, for selling illegal drugs during a buy-bust operation.

Batusin, who is a resident of Sitio Datag, Barangay Maribago, was caught in Sitio Abuno, Barangay Pajac at 2:15 a.m..

A medium pack and seven sachets of shabu were seized from him.

Suspects were detained in the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office’s holding cell.

They will face complaints for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (FMG)
