A FEW days more and the Catholic world will be celebrating the Holy Week.

The heat of the sun is perceived to be in its fiercest level these days. That is why many troop to places where it’s easy to refresh and cool off the system.

It’s not a wonder tourist spots in Cebu and those of other places teem with humanity.

However, let us not forget that the season is not mainly for corporal enjoyment but most of all for spiritual enrichment and enlightenment. I guess it’s just a matter of time management.

GMA 7 News and Public Affairs is currently filming a television series called “Inday Will Always Love You” in some parts of Cebu.

A press conference was held last week to drum up interest in the upcoming series, which stars award-winning actress Barbie Forteza, Derrick Monasterio and Juancho Trivino.

They are supported by a formidable lineup composed of Ricky Davao, Manilyn Reynes, Nova Villa, Tina Paner, Kim Rodriguez, Super Tekla and “Lumen Twins” Charisse and Charlotte Hermoso, who are already grown up. Some homegrown talents were lucky enough to be included in the cast.

I personally perceive this move of the Kapuso Network to fortify its hold in the Vis-Min area, which had long been a territory of the competing network.

Finally, the movie that I have been waiting for will be shown nationwide starting March 14. “My Perfect You” stars Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach opposite Gerald Anderson.

I wonder if Pia can deliver in a more serious role unlike the one she played in “The Revengers Squad,” which I badly missed last year.
