Village chief found dead

A VILLAGE chief was found dead inside his house in Manapla, Negros Occidental Thursday morning, March 8.

Police withheld the name of the 55-year-old victim.

Senior Inspector Julius Caesar Colado, town police chief, said the victim was found hanging in the living room of his house at 8:30 a.m. by his elder brother.

The victim tied a rope around his neck.

Colado said the victim allegedly committed suicide due to depression after he suffered complex illness.

He's been in politics for more than 10 years. (GYM)
