3 in 1: Study, Work and Relax

SUMMER is around the corner. Summer might be the hottest time of the year but it is also the most exciting because school’s finally done and adventures are waiting to happen. But before planning that summer trip, impress first your teachers, parents and of course, yourself by acing your Finals.

You’ll surely love these things in this “study nirvana”: comfortable thinking chairs; tables with enough space to spread out school supplies, books and papers; perfect lighting; a good cup of coffee; lockers; a relaxation area full of colorful pillows, coloring books and stress balls; and a whole lot of positive vibes.

Whether you’re into solo or group study, or prefer a quiet place or one that plays music, the Mezzanine Cafe has it all for you. Cafe owners Faye Loraine Micabalo, Ava Marie Arreza and Kouzzela Dianne Gillamac understand that every person has different preferences when it comes to studying.

A motivational quote hand-painted on the stairs that says “there is no elevator to success, you have to take the stairs” will lead you to a neon blue-lighted signage with the words “study, work, relax”: the cafe’s theme.

Its industrial-minimalist interior with a touch of greenery, motivational quotes displayed on walls and well-arranged tables help clients focus on what they’re doing and keep them away from distractions. The cafe is divided into three rooms: the study area that can accommodate up to 30 persons with study cubicles and tables for groups and individuals who want to study in silence; the cafe that can accommodate up to 50 persons with an ordinary cafe setting and slow music; and the conference room that can hold up to 10 heads for those who wants to study in a big group or a private meeting.

Common school supplies such as papers, ruler, scissors, coloring materials and pens are provided for free for its guests’ convenience. Printing and photocopy services, and WiFi are also available for a hassle-free study or work session.

All-day breakfast meals, sandwiches, cakes and a wide array of refreshing and energizing drinks such as smoothies, coffee and frappes are available. Its best-selling drinks are the cappuccino, caramel macchiato, java chip, mixed berry and wintermelon.

Despite of its fuss-free amenities and services, the cafe is student budget-friendly. It has an hourly rate of P30 with a free cup of brewed coffee or iced tea, a daily rate of P250 with up to three cups of brewed coffee or iced tea and a monthly rate of P3,800 with an exclusive locker (limited up to 25 slots) and up to three cups of iced tea or brewed coffee daily.

The Mezzanine Cafe is open from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily.
