TRAVELERS who frequent the Bukidnon area knows Roadhouse Cafe started in Valencia and we know that it's on the highway after you have crossed the poblacion on your way to Cagayan de Oro or just the neighboring Malaybalay City.
This cafe famous for its sizzling bulalo, however, now has more than one location in Valencia City and this time, you do not have to drive farther on. It's right in the Poblacion, just behind the NVM Mall, Valencia City's pioneering mall. You have to turn left before NVM Mall, however, if you're coming from the direction of Davao City as the road that the hotel is on -- M.L. Quezon Street -- is one way going north.
Turn left at the corner Jollibee then turn right at the first corner, and there you will see a spanking new hotel named Double M Hotel. One of the hotel's three food outlets is a Roadhouse Cafe serving what Roadhouse in known for: good food.
Of course we ordered the sizzling bulalo, but I enjoyed the sinigang na ulo ng Salmon best. But then, I've always loved that sinigang over the more popular and preferred bulalo. That only meant... there was more for me.
It was a pleasant overnight stay in Valencia City and having Roadhouse Cafe as your dining place inside the hotel makes the trip even more worthwhile.
