State worker falls in anti-illegal drug operation

AUTHORITIES have arrested a government employee and seized P3,500 worth of suspected shabu in a drug bust in Zamboanga Sibugay province.

Robert Reyes alias Bobby, 31, a government employee, was arrested around 11:20 p.m. on Friday, March 9, in the village of Veterans in Ipil.

Lyndon Aspacio, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) regional director, said they confiscated nine heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu worth P3,500, a coin purse, paper, motorcycle and P500 marked money.

The suspect is detained pending the filing of appropriate charges. (SunStar Philippines)
