UP FOR Chinese food?

This March, prepare for a dimsum indulgence as Marco Polo Davao launched its Chinese food festival offerings at its dining outlets.

In a media launch last March 2, the Marco Polo’s Lotus Court team had prepared their month-long offering for the Chinese food fest – the Chinese Dimsum Buffet.

Available for only P600 net per person on all Sundays of March, guests will enjoy Lotus Court’s dimsum favorites such as Pork and Shrimp Siomai, Hacao Dumpling, Pork Bun, Pork Xiao Long Bao and Taro Puff.

Picking my faves out from a dozen of Chinese food available in the buffet, I’d say the Pork and Shrimp Siomai, Salted Bun, Prawn Dumpling are something I can eat even for nth times without hesitation because why not?

Marco Polo’s dimsum are but special because all are prepared by their Chinese Sous Chef Alan Raya, who just had an exposure in Marco Polo Ortigas for a training in Chinese Kitchen.

The dimsum indulgence doesn’t end in Lotus Court, for intimate meetings and snack breaks, the hotel’s lobby lounge will also be offering something Chinese – the Chinese Merienda Cena for only P600.00 nett.

Guests will enjoy tea sandwiches- Mozzarella, Tomato, Pesto Focaccia Bread and Croissant with Brie Cheese, Mango & Raisins Scones, Assorted Dimsum Platter, and Chinese Sweets – Chilled Mango Sago with Pomelo and Red Bean Buchi.

The lobby lounge’s Croissant with Brie Cheese, Mango & Raisins Scones deserve a special mention, it’s a must try from its Chinese Merienda Cena.

The Chinese indulgence continues up to the Polo Bistro as they’ll host on March 24 a Chinese Wine Pairing event.

Guests will enjoy a fine dining set-up featuring a five-course meal paired with premium wines available for P2,500.00 nett per person.

The servings will include Organic Roast Duck Mashed Taro and Honey Plum Sauce, Braised Sea Cucumber with Superior Pumpkin Millet Rice Broth, Steamed Tiger Prawn and Minced Scallop with Minced Garlic and Braised Bok Choy, Cocoa and Espresso Lamb Chop with Chickpea Puree, Burnt Eggplant, Olive Oil, Trio Mini Buns served with Hot Sweetened Glutinous Brown Rice with Coconut Milk and Sago.
