Councilor, family donate comfort rooms to church

BACOLOD City Councilor Ricardo Tan and his family donated comfort rooms for the churchgoers at the Shrine of Our Lady of Perpetual Help.

He was joined by wife Nenita, son Ralph Richard and grandchildren Raphaella Marie and Raphael Martin Tan, along with elder brother Antonio Tan and wife Soledad.

The facility was based upon the request of Fr. Raymon Asoy, parochial vicar of the Queen of Peace.

Rev. Fr. Nitodel Soriano, rector of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Shrine, blessed the facilities on March 11 after the evening mass.

"We would like to express our deep gratitude to the Tan family for making this long-awaited dream a reality. It is said that the true character of a public servant is palpably felt in the quality of his heart, the heart that joyfully and unconditionally serves the least, the lost and the last," Soriano said.
