Zambo Norte Swat team receives medal

THE Police Regional Office (PRO)-Zamboanga Peninsula has awarded “Medalya ng Papuri” to the Zamboanga Del Norte Provincial Office (ZNPPO) Swat Team for exemplary performance in the recent Swat challenge.

The awarding ceremony was held after Monday’s flag raising ceremony at the quadrangle of Camp Romeo Abendan that houses the PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula headquarters in this city.

The awardees are the following: Senior Inspector Gregorio Joel Bungulan; Senior Police Officer (SPO) 1 Ernesto Bulajao Jr.; PO3 Kitch Ivan Gesulga; PO2 Dino Latawan; PO2 Armand Moncida; PO2 Jose Alfred Bait-it; PO2 Carl Edward Panoril; PO1 Dover Troy Aleta; PO1 Eric Panangitan; and, PO1 Mark Medard Balingit.

Chief Inspector Helen Galvez, PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, said the ZNPPO-Swat team was recognized for dominating the recent Swat challenge held at Execom Shooting Range and Regional Mobile Forces Company Firing Range in Camp on February 24 to 25.

As the regional winner, the ZNPPO-Swat team represented the command during the Chief, PNP National SWAT Challenge at Maa, Davao City last March 1 to 3.

They landed 17th place out of 60 teams that participated in the three-day event. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
