4,393 Passport on Wheels applications received

THE Office of the Davao City Administrator's Office received a total of 4,393 Passport on Wheels applications.

Sharon Cuenca, assistant coordinator for passport on wheels of the City Government of Davao, said they have already sent the documents last Saturday to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

She said based on the slots provided, 2,259 were scheduled on March 16, while 1,134 were set on March 17.

Cuenca said that DFA will pre-check the documents and will return the documents with a stamp from DFA on the actual dates of the passport on wheels, which will still be held at Almendras Gym.

"We will not accept walk-ins and the applicants must bring their original copies of their documents and other important documents," she said.

Cuenca said that the applicant must bring the P1200 payment and P150 courier fee.

She said that the passports will be distributed after 20-day waiting period.

Cuenca said DFA Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano may also possibly attend the event.

She said the passport on wheels will open at 8 a.m.

The City Government of Davao will also place stations for notary public and local civil registrar at Almandras Gym in case there will be problems on applicants' documents. (KVC)
