373 newly-promoted PRO-Cordillera cops take oath

SOME 373 newly-promoted cops of the Police Regional Office (PRO)-Cordillera simultaneously took their oath administered by PRO Regional Director Edward Carranza.

Most of the newly-promoted police were commissioned officers from the different provinces and Baguio City, as well as those non-commissioned officers assigned at the Baguio City Police Office and Benguet Police Provincial Office.

Carranza congratulated the personnel. He said he is confident that they will make a difference.

"Let us all be involved in the fight against lawlessness, double your efforts, and exercise your police functions with utmost courtesy and discipline worthy of your ranks," Carranza said.

Medals and certificates were awarded to the members of the promotion boards, headed by Deputy Regional Director for Administration R’win Pagkalinawan, Regional Chief Directorial Staff Emmanuel Peralta, and RMFB 15 force commander David Peredo Jr.

In recognition of the efforts in meticulously screening the promotable personnel, certificates of appreciation were given to the National Police Commission.

Promoted personnel consisted of five chief inspector, eight senior inspector, 38 inspector, two senior police officer (PO) 4, 29 SPO3, two SPO2, 124 SPO1, 97 police officer 3 and 68 PO2.

The donning and pinning of ranks is done simultaneously in all other police provincial offices of Abra, Apayao, Ifugao, Mt. Province and Kalinga to acknowledge the achievements of the promoted personnel.

The promoted personnel undergone the rigid screening, which includes the qualification standards such as time in grade, education, training and eligibility, seniority, individual performance evaluation rating awards, post graduate degree, interview, drug test, and work behavior and performance appraisal.
