Magnitude 5 earthquake hits Bukidnon

A MAGNITUDE 5 earthquake struck Talakag town in Bukidnon province at 3:19 p.m. Thursday, March 15, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.

The Phivolcs recorded the quake's epicenter at 19 kilometers (km) southwest of Talakag with a depth of 1 km.



The quake was felt at Intensity IV in Iligan City, Intensity III in Cagayan de Oro City, and Intensity II in Kalilangan, Bukidnon.

The Phivolcs said aftershocks are to be expected.
