‘Binibini’ frontrunners

AS the country’s biggest beauty search draws near, many enthusiasts have their hands full making predictions and are even flying to the capital city to watch the contest live.

Considered frontrunners are Catriona Gray, Karen Gallman, Aya Abesamis, Eva Patalinjug, Sandra Lemonon, Vickie Rushton, Michelle Gumabao, Ena Velasco, Jehza Huelar and Loren Mar Artajos.

The Binibining Pilipinas pageant will be held this Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Birit Queen Jona released two updated versions of her hit song “Till The End of Time” from her certified gold and platinum album under Star Music.

The first version is a pop collaboration with R&B royalty Jay R and international rapper Req. Jona also remakes the hit song by her lonesome this time with club remixes and a different vocal style.

It’s quite heartwarming to know that local television shows are recognized by award-giving bodies abroad. Recently, GMA Network led the country’s contingent in the 2018 New York Festivals “World’s Best TV and Films” Competition with 12 shortlisted entries.
The network’s news pillar, Jessica Soho, has also been nominated in the best news anchor category. Her program, “State of the Nation with Jessica Soho,” was shortlisted for best newscast for the “Marawi Liberation: War Is Over” coverage.

The other entries are “Alaala: A Martial Law Special,” “I-Witness,” “Front Row,” “Reporter’s Notebook,” two entries for “Reel Time,” “Brigada” and the Program Support Department in art direction and in graphic design.
