Kisan Lu developing a better Davao

DAVAO can’t be a progressive and rising city if not because of its partners in development, especially those homegrown companies who first saw the city’s potentials.

Kisan Lu Lands and Development Incorporated is one of them, a Davao-born company founded by the late Kisan D. Lu in 1980.

Celebrating its 38th anniversary this March which coincides Araw Ng Dabaw, Kisan Lu Lands renews its commitment to provide nothing but quality homes , a thing the company deeply believes deserved by Dabawenyos and Filipinos, in general.

“For the past 38 years, we lived and uphold our vision which is to deliver quality and affordable houses to Dabawenyos and Filipinos to improve their lives and be part of achieving their lifetime dream,” Kisan Lu Lands President and CEO Architect Kristin L. Lu said.

Continuing their father’s legacy, Lu shared that Kisan Lu Lands is now entering the mid to high-cost housing market and strengthening its pocket-friendly housing projects strategically tapping the different market niche.

Lu underscored that in their nearly four decades in the real-estate industry, one thing remains of top priority: maintaining its class, beauty and superior quality in all their housing projects, something the company is known for.

The developer’s existing and ongoing projects in Davao City include Amiya Resort Residences, Bambu Estate, GreenWoods, Villa Conchita, and Plantacion.

Award-winning developer

With its excellent track record, it is but a no surprise that this homegrown has been reaping accolades from various award-giving bodies namely: BCI Asia awardee as one of the Top 10 developers in the Philippines for two consecutive years (2015-2016); 2016 Gawal Sulo ng Bayan Prestigious Seal Award; and 2017 Lunhaw Awards recognition for Permeable Pavements and Parking Space.

“We make sure that our existing projects would sell our future projects,” Lu said.

Known as a green developer, Kisan Lu Lands recognizes the importance of sustainable development in all its projects.

“We are committed, always, to be a green developer. We want to do our part in sustaining our environment, we take all our developments with responsibility and obligation to protect and preserve the beauty and balance of nature,” Lu said.

She added that aside from its projects generous green spaces, the company is also gearing towards utilizing renewable energy in powering up some of our housing project’s facilities like the clubhouse in Amiya which will be soon powered with solar energy.

Rising amid stiff competition

With the Davao’s economic boom comes the entry of national and international developers in the city’s landscape. This has created stiff competition among all industry players but homegrown firms stood firm and took advantage of the opportunities emerged from Davao’s exciting economic situation.

“We don’t see them as threat, we are more in the advantage side because we know the market better than them. We believe that as long as we deliver quality houses, amenities, the Dabawenyos will not hesitate to invest in us, they are wise buyers,” she said adding that when they do projects, they deliver more than what is promised.

She emphasized that they want to be part of the ongoing developments happening in Davao as it was put in the limelight and is now considered as one of the premier investment destinations in the country.

Going beyond

Moving forward, Kisan Lu Lands is optimistic to the city’s real-estate industry and is excited to launch anytime soon its new venture – condominiums.

“We are still at the planning stage, we are still studying thoroughly our next direction because when we venture into something, we make sure that we are ready,” she said.

She added that the soon-to-be project will feature something that will contribute to Davao’s growth and tourism.

“We always want Dabawenyos to be proud of our projects,” Lu shared.

Employing some 300 workers, Kisan Lu Lands will continue what it has started in the past 38 years in being a partner of change and development of the city guided by the company’s principles of passion and service.
