THREE female teenagers were rescued from a 17-year-old male pimp in an entrapment operation inside a hotel at Bacolod City at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, March 15.
Police withheld the names of the three 15-year-old victims.
Joint operatives of Regional Anti-Cybercrime-Western Visayas led by Chief Inspector Alfredo Arturo and Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) led by Inspector Arlyn Torrendon arrested the minor-suspect who transacted with a poseur customer for P2,000.
Senior Inspector Armilyn Vargas, public information officer of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), said the minor-suspect offered the three girls, who are also his friends, through Facebook for “sexual favors” in exchange for monetary consideration.
The anti-cybercrime group in Iloilo has monitored the activities of the suspect online, prompting them to conduct the operation two days ago.
Torrendon said the suspect is probably engaging in the illegal activity since last year.
The three female victims were placed under the protective custody of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSSD) and WCPD while the suspect was brought to Social Development Center.
The suspect will be charged with violation of the Republic Act 9208 as amended by RA 10365 or “Trafficking in Person.”
