TWELVE teams from across the Visayas region will see action in the Women’s 18 & Under Beach Volleyball Invitational Tournament from March 21 to 23 at the Sipalay City Beach Front.
The event, presented by the City of Sipalay in celebration of its 17th Charter Day Anniversary in cooperation with the Pasaway Foundation Inc., will feature three teams from host -- Sipalay, Enrique Villanueva -- Siquijor, Cebu City Niños, Timagrey of Dumaguete, Foundation Preparatory Academy, University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, Pontevedra, Living Stones International School, and two teams from St. John’s Institute in Bacolod City.
Participants for this event are assured to receive cash prizes.
The three-day tournament is organized by Sipalay City’s Nathaniel Jan Celiz, Roger Banzuela of UniGames and Negros Occidental Volleyball Association, and Eduardo Baragat, president of Pasaway Foundation Inc.
Aside from witnessing a competitive beach volleyball event, Sipalay City also wishes for tourists to experience the beauty of the city as another destination in southern Negros. (HGD)
