UNITED States Consul General Russel Brown was impressed with the infrastructure, transportation, and investment promotions of Iloilo City.
“Working together resiliently for the future is great. I’m very impressed because that’s what your city is doing right now. We’re very privileged to be here because you really have a lot to offer. I love the infrastructures, investment promotion, the very sustainable growth climate, and lastly, your hospitality. We’ll make a way to conduct bigger investment forum with American Chamber of Commerce here,” Brown said.
He is glad the United States Agency for International Development (USAid) is active in helping the city for traffic and transportation management feasibility study.
Brown and Senior Consul Specialist Leo Anthony Balantac visited city hall last March 16.
“I’m honored to know that the US Consul General appreciated the economic growth of the city. He was also impressed with the hospitality of the Ilonggos. He said the group will go back to help us in any way they can and I’m looking forward to that,” said Mayor Jose Espinosa III.
Local Economic Investment Promotions Office head Ritchel Gavan highlighted investment potentials and opportunities in line with Espinosa’s “Invest, Invest, Invest” Program to attract investors to the metropolis.
The US Consul General’s visit is part of an outreach program on bringing services to Americans citizens in Iloilo. He also guested on a local radio station and shared the proper ways on how to apply for US visa and to avoid scammers. (PR)
