Sharon Cuneta meets Duterte over private dinner

ACTRESS Sharon Cuneta, together with family members and friends, met President Rodrigo Duterte on a private dinner Tuesday night, March 20.

In her official Facebook and Instagram pages, Cuneta posted several "groufie" photos together with the President.

She also posted a photo of her brother, Chet, together with Duterte.

"My beloved only brother with the exact same DNA as mine, Chet, @chetdc9 finally met his idol and hero tonight," she said.

In the same post, Cuneta said her brother is a Duterte fan and she was happy that she has made him happy.

“Tonight, I was not only happy and honored to have dinner with Pres. Duterte, but also to make my Kuya the happiest I’ve ever been able to make him."

She also explained that her father, the late Pasay City Mayor Pablo Cuneta, "was a good friend of the President's."

“Hope you’re happy, Daddy! I love you so much, Kuya ko," she said.

Some netizens though were surprised on the meeting when her husband, Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan, is a member of the political opposition. Pangilinan is the current president of the Liberal Party.

But Cuneta, in a follow up post, clarified that Pangilinan is not bothered with the meeting.

In fact, she said, the senator is "chill and happy that kuya and I are happy."

The megastar also posted about the President eating sardines making her crave to eat the same with Kiko before she will go to sleep.

Cuneta also posted the Presidential gift they received after their meeting.

"And each of us got this Presidential gift when we were about to leave. My kuya is so happy that he might go back later to swim in the river around Malacañan! Hahaha!"
