I HAVE always been in Abreeza Mall for leisure and necessities but I have never seen it as filled as last Saturday, March 17 when Moira dela Torre, the country's leading pop singer serenaded the Dabawenyos at the atrium.

The event was scheduled to kick-off at 6:00 p.m. but as early as 4:00 p.m. the whole area surrounding the stage was already jam-packed.

OPM's hugot queen Moira Dela Torre hit the stage for a free concert where she soulfully sang her well-loved singles, including "Malaya" from the Camp Sawi official soundtrack, her rendition of Moonstar 88's "Torete," and the Himig Handog 2017 winning track "Titibo-Tibo." With Moira's boyfriend Jason Marvin accompanying her on acoustic guitar, the musical duo got fans thundering the Activity Center with their pitch-perfect sing-alongs and kilig-induced shrieks.

Completing the festivities was the annual Araw ng Dabaw Sale, which got shoppers snapping up discounts at their favorite stores from March 12 to 18.

This month's entertainment onslaught at Ayala Mall Abreeza is far from over! Zeus Collins, leader of all-male group Hashtags and Pinoy Big Brother 737 housemate, is all set to tear up the dance floor and sing up a storm in a free show on March 24, 5 p.m. Ayala Mall Abreeza is also teaming up with Manic Nightnings Productions to launch Alive After 5, the city's newest hangout where visitors can step away from stress and soak up the good vibes over food, drinks, and live music. Alive After 5 takes place on March 22 to 25, 5 p.m. at the Restaurant Row (near S&R).
