Talisay police arrest 3 drug suspects in latest operation

SOME 60 suspected drug personalities have been arrested in Talisay City since the start of the renewed Oplan Tokhang operations last January, a police official said yesterday.

But while the presence of big-time illegal drug sellers has dropped, new players have taken their place, according to Supt. Marlu Conag, acting Talisay City Police chief. Conag told reporters yesterday that newly identified players started cropping up following intensified operations against illegal drug sellers after President Rodrigo Duterte assumed power two years ago.

Their recent operation last Wednesday resulted to the arrest of three newly identified drug personalities in Barangay Bulacao.

Suspected shabu worth P72,000 were recovered from Ryan Clifford Bacus, Radys Ibones and Joepit Cabriana.

Conag said they will charge the three with possession and selling of illegal drugs before the weekend. (JKV)
