42 female inmates negative of drugs

FORTY-TWO of the 190 female inmates yielded negative in the random drug test conducted at Metro Bacolod District Jail (MBDJ)-Female Dormitory in Barangay Handumanan, Bacolod City Friday, March 23.

Inspector Aubrey Robles, jail warden, said 22 percent of the total population underwent the test initiated by the jail.

The said inmates submitted their urine samples during the test facilitated by Senior Jail Officer 4 Geselle Armentia and Jail Officer 1 Ma. Carmena Ingente around 11 a.m.

The test is in relation to the intensified campaign of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology against illegal drugs.

Robles said they want to ensure that no contrabands including dangerous drugs can enter the jail. (GYM)
