‘Housing, auto loan madness’ kicks off

THE three-day Bank of Philippine Islands (BPI) Family Savings Bank “Housing and Auto Loan Madness” kicked off Friday, March 23, at the Robinsons Place Mall in Bacolod City.

BPI officials Wilbert Yu, assistant vice president and Sales Channel head of Visayas Auto Loans; Stephen Magsalang, senior manager and sales channel head for Visayas housing loan; and Maximo Eleccion, preferred banking relationship manager, led the opening of the event, which is now on its 19th year.

The bank executives said Bacolod is one of the fastest growing urban centers in the Philippines and has attracted many investors in cars and housing industries.

Yu said they brought along the best car brands and housing developments, all with great deals and affordable loans.

This is a great time to avail of these loan portfolios, he added.

"We are here to help you make your dreams come true in your need for housing and car. We will help you fulfill your dreams," Eleccion said.

The market for auto and housing is growing in Bacolod City, he said.

“People work here because of the high paying jobs provided by BPO (business process outsourcing), plus the presence of schools that provide quality graduates. Bacolod buyers don't wait for five years to change their cars. They buy cars in between because they don't want to shoulder the high cost of maintaining cars. The ‘Auto Loan Madness’ is not only for our clients but also for others who dream to own a car with low-interest rates, fast bank approval, and exclusive deals, he said.

"Avail of our ‘Auto Loan Madness’ as the applicants will enjoy lower interest rates; will have free comprehensive insurance coverage, a free gas card of P3,000 and will be catered through a priority lane," he said.

On the housing loan, Magsalang said that Bacolod City tops the Philippine cities in search traffic for properties.

Township projects built by real estate giants in Bacolod City boost people's and investors' confidence to invest in real properties, he added.

"When you buy a car, you can have it by impulse. But when you buy a house, you really have to plan out with considerations as this house will be suitable for your lifestyle, is it closer or nearer to your workplace? will your family fit in this house? BPI will help you answer these questions,” he said.

For fastest loan approval, BPI has my-own-home application where you can take a test for you to determine if you are financially ready and capable to own a house. Download it, then snap and send to BPIloans.com, he added.

It will be a great advantage to own a house in Bacolod City because of a budget of P1 million, one could have a bigger cut insofar as property is concerned, he said.

The “Housing and Auto Loan Madness” is until March 25 at Robinsons Place Mall Fountain Area. (CNC)
