Free therapy for kids with needs set

CHILDREN with special needs will have a free day to enjoy.

Local pediatric center, Play and Say, is running “Therafree 2018” set on Sunday, March 25 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Citylights Hotel ballroom with free services to be offered to the public.

Justine Ang, administrator of Play and Say Therapy Center said the program is on its third consecutive year and is getting bigger and better every year.

“We are offering more services each time,” said Ang.

Ang added there will be free assessment for children with special needs for occupational and behavioral therapy, speech and language therapy, physical therapy and special education.

There will also be free home care programs for those assessed and energy or pranic healing to be given by the Northern Luzon Pranic Healing & Training Center.

During the day, there will also be a yoga class for children to be taught by Yoga with Guadalyn.

“We decided to have an annual event such as this, in order to provide much needed services to those who cannot afford it. It's an annual event with the purpose being that those who were evaluated in the previous years can come back to have their home programs updated; the children can be re-assessed, and new goals can be targeted,” Ang added.

Play and Say Therapy Center is a pediatric center that caters to children with special needs established in 2009.

The center administers assessments, home care programs, one-on-one therapy and small group therapy, early intervention and summer classes.
