2 injured in NLEx multiple collision

MABALACAT CITY -- Two persons were reportedly injured in a multiple collision which transpired near the Angeles City interchange of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) Wednesday, March 28.

The NLEX Corporation patrol unit reported another chain collision which happened near the Dau exit which involved at least eight vehicles.

In Angeles City, a closed van tipped over the interchange after of its tires exploded before hitting two other vehicles Wednesday morning.

The fourth accident transpired near the Mexico exit involving five vehicles.

The NLEX Corporation said that hundreds of thousands of motorists will pass through the expressway during the Holy Week.

Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation president Rodrigo Franco earlier said that they expect 10 to 15 percent increase in the traffic volume at NLEX and Subic Clark Tarlac Expressway during the holidays.

Franco said that they implemented the yearly motorists’ assistance program dubbed “Safe Trip Mo Sagot Ko” to ensure the safety of commuters passing the expressways.
